Best Software and Hardware for Multimedia Arts

We know that there's a lot of apps and softwares to choose from when creating art, editing videos or doing animation and here I'm going to explore the ones I personally recommend and why I recommend using them based on their availability and in using them long term. I'll also tell their strengths and weakness if I know they have it to avoid biases and to make it easier to differentiate them from one another and to choose from. Also gonna some put some hardwares that you can use to make things easier for working and doing schoolworks to maximize your time and efficiency when doing art and or the things that you have to do.

Graphic Design

   Software

  •          Adobe Photoshop - The overall recommend software for everyone and have everything you need in it. It's simply good in doing everything you want to do and a must learn software even when you have a job. It might be good at doing everything but its not the best in focused works like other apps.

  •          Clip Studio Paint - The one I personally recommend to use for digital arts. It's simply too smooth for doing graphic designs and like a better version of Paint Tool Sai. It has everything you need for drawing even vectors to make your life easier for linearts.

  •    Paint Tool Sai - A simplier version of Clip Studio Paint and my recommend software for beginners. It's simple and very easy to use  compare to other programs that might take you weeks or months to fully learn. It has everything you need for digital arts but not as thorough compare to other softwares.

   Recommended Hardware

  •        i5 Laptop
  •        Ipad Pro
  •       Wacom Tablet or Xp-pen

Animation

   Software

  •       Adobe Animate - A simple straight 2D software that you can use for animating things. I personally recommend it because on how simple to understand how the program works and for no experience in animation. It might also be the program that your school uses so you might get a headstart if you start learning it now.

  •        Blender - A free and open-sourced 3D software that everybody can use. It just keep getting better and better as time passes and I recommend it to someone who wanted to learn in 3D. Although Blender can be overwhelming to use at first when you open it, there's a lot of videos on Youtube and guides on how to use it and why you should learn it.

  •        Adobe After Effects - The industry standard for animation and other things like visual effects, etc. It's used in wide varieties like in games, animations and even TV shows. It's great to used to level up your animation and better than Adobe Animate but have a very steep learning curve. I don't recommend it for beginners but once you learn it, you're ahead of your peers.

   Recommended Hardware

  •         Graphic Tablet and Stylus
  •          i5  PC
  •          Ipad Pro

Video Editing

   Software

  •          Adobe Premiere Pro CC - The industry standard for video editing. Its also deeply integrated in Adobe so if you use other software of Adobe, you'll have easier time. The software also focuses on editing so it might be the best on doing it. But its pretty pricey so only use it when you're already professional or already have a lot of experience.

  •          Sony Vegas Pro - A good alternative for Adobe Premiere Pro. It's good for beginners and getting the feel for video editing. You don't really need a high-end PC to use it and its probably the best in doing the simple things. But I only recommend it at the start and then switch to either Adobe Premiere or Resolve.

  •          DaVinci Resolve - The real alternative for Adobe Premiere Pro. It's free and the color and gradients is just a lot better than Premiere. Personally I would recommend this because it's free and it doesn't fall that much behind compare to Premiere Pro and even better in doing some things.
