Exercise 1 - MS Word Interface

 





  • Quick Access Toolbaris a customizable toolbar that comes with a set of independent commands. It gives you quick access to commonly used commands such as Save, Undo, Redo, etc.

  • Title Bar A horizontal bar at the top of an active document. This bar displays the. name of the document and application.

  • Window Controls - controls the Minimize, Restore Down/Maximize and Close of the word.

  • Tabs Menu - Shortcut for different options in the MS Word and ribbon.

  • Ribbon - is a user interface element which was introduced by Microsoft in Microsoft Office 2007. It is located below the Quick Access Toolbar and the Title Bar.

  • View Options - provides different ways you can view your documents, depending on your particular needs.

  • Status Bardisplays information about what page you are on, as well as your line number on the page and character number on the line.

  • Navigation Panelapplied heading styles to the headings in the body of your document, those headings appear in the Navigation pane. 

  • Zoom Slider - appears in the lower-right corner of the application window. You can click and drag the slider left, towards the minus symbol (-), to shrink the magnification level.

  • Document Window Area  is the area where all pages are created and shapes are positioned. During both the editing and play modes, the Document Window consists of two distinct panels vertically aligned, with the upper large panel being the area for the currently displayed page.
